Electrical service to the building is provided by two 2000kva transformers tied together to produce 4000kva from a common point on the

high voltage side, that in turn is supplied by two 13.2kv feeders.One circuit is the normal supply and one circuit is the alternate supply. In the event of an interruption to the normal circuit, the transformers are automaticallyn transferred to the alternate circuit.

This is known as a dual feeder with automatic transfer scheme. The 4000kva transformers serve an average load of 1700kw at 97% power factor
